Dave Smith

Chief Technology Officer

Dave Smith leads the development and operations for Viverae's proprietary health management system and oversees all technology areas for Viverae. Prior to joining Viverae, he served as vice president of software engineering for the TriZetto Group, where he was responsible for the development of six products that are now used by some of the nation's largest health plans. During his time there, he served as a member of the TriZetto Architecture Council, a group responsible for making enterprise-level software architecture decisions for the entire company of more than 400 developers. Smith co-founded HealthWeb Systems LLC and helped build the company into a multimillion-dollar business in less than three years before it was purchased by TriZetto in 1999. Smith has more than 17 years of experience in product and team building for large-scale commercial software developments and in managing and architecting commercial-grade products through full life cycles.
